VIRTUAL KAYAK RACE

Join us for the 2021 Riverbat Paddle Battle, a virtual kayak race benefiting the Austin Community College Foundation!

The virtual event will be held in partnership with Rowing Dock on Lady Bird Lake, featuring three course options to accommodate all skill levels as you paddle on your own – choose from a 2-mile intermediate course, a 1-mile novice course or a 500-yard kids’ course.

The virtual race will run from Saturday, September 25 through Monday, October 25, 2021. Participants can submit their race time to be added to our leaderboard; all times must be submitted through a link that will be shared via email after registration. The top finisher for each course length will receive a special prize package by mail.

While race times must be submitted by October 25 to be eligible for a prize, your registration includes a full-day kayak pass to Rowing Dock that is valid for six months to use at your convenience.

COURSE OPTIONS

The virtual race will feature three course options to choose from when you paddle on your own:

PACKET PICK-UP AND SWAG BAGS

All participants will receive a race packet, event shirt and swag bag as part of their registration, which can be picked up in a safe and socially distanced manner on Saturday, September 25.

Details on pick-up location and process will be shared via email after registration.

 

PRIZES

The virtual kayak race will be held in partnership with Rowing Dock, located on the south side of Lady Bird Lake, just west of Mopac.

PARKING

Parking is available at Rowing Dock and along Stratford Drive.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

A virtual kayak race can be paddled at any date and time that you choose at Rowing Dock. Your registration includes a full-day pass with all equipment included, so you can paddle your own race at your own pace and time it yourself!

Adult registration is $45 per person. Under-18 registration is $25 per person. All race registrations include a full-day pass to Rowing Dock with all equipment included, valid for six months, as well as an event t-shirt and swag bag. All proceeds benefit the Austin Community College Foundation.
